Google Launches Ads Asset Studio

Recognising that marketers are increasingly seeking efficiency, Google has introduced Asset Studio, a new unified tool powered by Google’s generative AI, designed to streamline the creative workflow. This helps to produce high-quality creative assets that are both compelling and on-brand, from concept to finished faster than ever.

By uploading an image and combining it with a simple text prompt, such as ‘a person walking in a city street’ Google’s AI can transform the product shot into a fully contextual lifestyle image, while preserving design details like texture, logos, and form.

Moreover, the tool supports bulk transformations. For instance, up to 100 existing images can be refreshed at once, changing backgrounds, adding objects, or shifting scenes as per the campaign’s needs.

To maintain brand cohesion, ‘style references’ (images that reflect your brand’s visual identity) can be supplied and the AI then uses these as a guide, generating new visuals that feel consistent and on-brand.

In a further extension, Asset Studio also supports turning images, logos and text descriptions into video assets, allowing dynamic, motion-based ads using minimal inputs.

Once assets are generated, Asset Studio aids collaboration, previews and deployment. Shareable links can be generated for any image, video or text asset so team members or clients can provide feedback more easily.

In addition, Google is enhancing the ad preview experience. Before launching a campaign, it’s possible to see how the creative will appear across different channels (Search, Display, YouTube, Gmail, Discover, etc.). These previews can be shared via link for review, reducing guesswork and helping to ensure that your ads look just as intended in real life.

Behind the scenes, much of the power comes from Google’s advanced image model, Imagen 4. This model helps the tool produce highly detailed visuals, whether photorealistic or more abstract and enables finer control of texture, lighting and scene complexity.
